Why can’t we empty our mind?

One reason is because we don’t sincerely give.

When we ‘give’, too often we expect something in return.
It is this false giving that prevents us from totally letting go.
It is this expectation of something in return that keeps returning thoughts to our mind.

True giving is forgetfulness. You give and you forget about it.
Don’t keep count.
Don’t expect.

We must have the audacity of that elephant crossing the powerful river, thus cutting off the current totally.

Just give yourself away completely.

And in that moment,
the stream stops.

The mind is empty.

And you recognise the truth.
