One problem we face in religions these days is that it is more talkative than contemplative.
We have a preacher who tells the audience things, and it is somehow expected that whatever the preacher says is wise. This breeds complacency and laziness.
We simply rely on our complacent and lazy belief of institutionalized authority.
We must contemplate. And find the wisdom and goodness within ourselves. Rather than totally relying on the speeches of charismatic speakers. Especially those who twist and play with words to manipulate others, just so to satisfy their own selfish desires.
Contemplate. And meditate.
You can’t be told wisdom, because then that wisdom is not yours. You can only discover it yourself.
