Existential validation

A person doesn’t just struggle for survival.
His mind also struggles to know that he/it exists.

This struggle of the mind to know its own existence is what I call existential validation.
And from this struggle is the birth of ego – a conceptual network of sensations and ideas representing the self.

So how does the mind know that it exists? Stimulation, recognition, power.
Thus the ego is always seeking stimulation, recognition, power.
