Meditation: Trinity of the ‘self’

From the body emerges the mind. From the mind emerges consciousness.

The body is like a machine.
A sensor to sense the physical world.
A mover that utilizes energy to move parts and whole of itself.

The mind is like a computer.
A receiver of information.
A processor of information through innate instinct (operating system) and associative memory (installed programs).
A broadcaster of information.

Consciousness is like the user of this computing machine.
It has:
Awareness – conscious knowledge
Will – conscious effort

Unenlightened, the user merely services the computer and the machine.
Once awakened, the user can reprogram the computer and reconfigure the machine for optimal performance.

The art of meditation is the art of awakening.
