Phenomenon: How do we suffer?

We do not suffer when we encounter a problem.
We still do not suffer when our body react to the problem with pain and discomfort.
We only suffer when we give attention to the pain and discomfort.

Why pain and discomfort?
They are simply signals to your consciousness that something is threatening your survival.

Some threats are physical.
Some threats are conceptual.
Meditation allows us to experience the truth that conceptual threats don’t kill.
Meditation teaches the body that it is not the ego.
There is thus no need for the body to react to conceptual threats.
There is thus no need to suffer over conceptual threats.

How do you suffer?
